Electing members from your unit helps to achieve the purposes of the Order:

    * To recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives
    * To develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit
    * To promote Scout camping
    * To crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others

If a unit successfully elects a youth to OA membership, it is eligible that year to nominate one or more adult members (depending on unit size) for consideration by the Lodge.  Forms for recording these nominations and the results of OA elections are available in the links at the bottom of this page.
